Bicycle Accessories
My son got a new bike for Christmas. He also received gifts of money from various relatives for purchasing bicycle accessories. He totaled up his money and we visited a website together to choose which bicycle accessories that he wanted.
My son told me before we even got to the website that he had also been saving his allowance. He was sure that he could buy all of the bicycle accessories that his heart desired. I like that he has been saving his money for what he really wants.
I told my son that we need to find all of the bicycle accessories that would make riding safer. He agreed. We found a 12v Generator with a Krypton bulb. I will be a lot happier with him riding his bike when the sun is going down if he has some illumination.
He liked the idea of the headlight and agreed to it. He found another safety item for his new bicycle accessories. He found red flashing safety lights. I think that he said they were cool.
A bell was the third of the bicycle accessories to get picked. I wish it was as loud as a car horn, but I think it really will be effective for its intended use. He saw a plastic horn and thought that it was stupid.
I told my son that if he wanted to ride his new bike to school, then two of his new bicycle accessories needed to be a lock and a helmet. He had trouble finding a helmet that matched the paint on his new bike. I told him that we could go to a local sporting goods store to find the right one. He also preferred a different kind of bike lock than this website had to offer.
We had a good time finding the bicycle accessories for his new bike. I think that he is going to have a lot of fun and some more freedom. I am thinking that I may want to sign him up for a bike safety class and also a minor bike repairs class. Both of those would teach him a lot.

In India most people have their family name in their name or a common surname going down the family tree. It would be tough but its possible to find your relatives.
You can do the search yourself, search for the family name on the internet or get telephone no. of all the people with the family name in their names from the Hyderabad Telephone Directory.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I find this ridiculously cool. Really, I just wish there were distribution of “mini velos” here in the States. Don’t need it to fold, like the Dahon, but the idea of a smaller, lighter commute bike is appealing…to take up less space in a small apartment and to lighten the load when lugging it up stairs.

This can really vary and depends on what the problem is. It could be simply a loose wire on the horn itself or the switch on the steering wheel could be broken.
If you have a friend with a volt meter, it would be pretty easy to diagnose yourself and if it is the horn or a loose connection under the hood, you could probably fix it for next to nothing.
However, if you use a mechanic, they will charge you a diagnostic fee to find out the problem, which is usually between $50 and $100. Once they know what is wrong, it could be a very cheap fix or it could end up costing several hundred dollars. Without knowing what exactly is causing the problem, it is hard to say for sure.
I would recommend calling a few mechanics briefly describing the problem and asking how much they charge for a diagnostic fee.
In regards to whether or not you should fix it, having a working horn is very important for your safety and to prevent accidents, so it should be repaired.

Look into buying a Used Bike first. Craigslist, Ebay, are two great places to find decent road bikes in your price range. Figure out the size that you need and off you go. You can get a quality bike from a few years back that is comparable to the $1000+ bikes of this year. Good Luck
